Telomere - The end of a chromosome. This specialized structure is involved in the replication and stability of linear DNA molecules.

Telophase - The final stage of mitosis in which the daughter chromosomes reach the opposite poles of the cell and re-from nuclei.

Template strand - The one strand on the double helix that serves as a pattern for the mRNA being produced.

Terminators - Sequences in the RNA products that tell RNA polymerase where to stop transcription.

Thymine (T) - A nitrogenous base found  in DNA only. Thymine base-pairs with Adenine in DNA . It is replaced  with Uracil in RNA.

Transcription - The conversion of DNA encoded information into it's RNA encoded equivalent.

transfer RNA (tRNA) - A class of RNA having structures with triplet nucleotide sequences that are complementary to the triplet nucleotide coding sequences of mRNA. The role of tRNAs in protein synthesis is to bond with amino acids and transfer them to the ribosomes, where proteins are assembled according to the genetic code carried by mRNA

Translation - The process by which the genetic code carried by mRNA directs the synthesis of protiens from amino acids.

Translocation - This is the shift of the newly formed peptide from the A-site to the P-site during translation. This is because new amino acids enter at the A-site and therefore the peptide much shift to the P-site.
